The Maltese people have their own language and this is called Maltese (Malti).

The majority of the population speaks both English and Maltese and you should not face difficulties in communicating with others.

Lectures at the University will be conducted in English and all communications are issued in English.

However, in order to learn more about Malta and the country, our languages and traditions, you may wish to follow courses to learn the Maltese language whilst you are studying at the University.
