INTAKE OCTOBER 2025
Notice for Adult Learners for the Diploma in the Laws of Procedure
Adult Learners (aged 23 years of age and over at commencement of the course) will be required to sit for an English proficiency test and an interview in order to satisfy the Faculty Admissions Committee that they possess the necessary skills to follow the course with profit. All Adult Learners are to apply by no later than 31 August 2025 at 14:00. Applicants presenting at least a grade 5 in English at SEC level (or equivalent) will be exempted from the proficiency test and only required to sit for the interview.
The English proficiency test, of one-and-a half-hours’ duration, will be held at the University of Malta, Msida, at a date to be confirmed at a later stage. It will be organised by the Faculty of Laws and the Centre for English Language Proficiency and held under standard examination conditions.
Successful applicants will be called to attend an interview. The interview will assess the Adult Learner’s past working experience as well as any other qualifications obtained by the applicant. After the interview is concluded, the Faculty Admissions Committee will issue its recommendation to the University Admissions Board on the basis of the applicant’s performance in both the written test and the interview.
All Adult Learners are required to submit a valid police certificate of conduct issued no earlier than 6 months prior, a CV, and a letter written in English giving their motivation for applying for the Course together with a copy of their Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Interview and testing dates
Proficiency tests will be held during the first two weeks of September 2025. Exact dates for interviews and testing will be confirmed at a later stage.
