Opening Hours

The Outreach Department’s mission is to establish an ongoing partnership with faculty and students. Set up in 2012, the Outreach team can answer questions about the Library and inform the University community of new Library services, programmes and resources. 

The team dedicates its energy to reach the ever-expanding University audience: from students and student organisations, to support staff and academics by making use of the communication channels available.

The Department is committed to provide assistance and support to all the patrons on Library services such as HyDi and RefWorks. Timetable of Training Workshops may be found on the Library webpage. One-to-one training is also offered by appointment. Academics may email the department in order to set up training classes for their students.

Another objective of the Outreach Department is to identify potential marketing campaigns and adapt them to the University of Malta environment. For this reason the department is always on the lookout for possible collaborations with other organisations to organise events at the Library. Organisations interested in making use of the Library premises or having ideas about activities that can be organised in conjunction with the Library are encouraged to send an email here.

The Department organizes activities during annual events such as Science in the City, Fresher’s Week, Discover University and Library Week. It is also responsible for the Library website and Facebook page which are up-dated on a regular basis.
