Welcome to the Department of Public Health

The Department of Public Health, formerly known as the Department of Community Medicine is responsible for teaching  Applied Epidemiology, Medical Statistics, Health Promotion, Sociology of Health and Illness, Research methods: Epidemiology, Qualitative Research and Critical Appraisal, Health Information, Practical Project-Public Health Regulation, Communicable & Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Care Systems & Management, Social Policy and Health Economics, Environmental Health and Practical Project-Health Care Services and the various public health issues and policies at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The Department of Public Health actively promotes a public health research agenda and participates in a number of original and collaborative projects.
