The Journal of Anglo-Italian Studies (JAIS) is the journal of the Institute of Anglo-Italian Studies at the University of Malta. It was founded in 1991 under the editorship of Prof. Peter Vassallo and Rev. Prof. Alphonse Sammut as a journal of Comparative Literature and literary history focused specifically on literary relations between Britain and Italy.
The current General Editors of JAIS are Prof. Peter Vassallo (Emeritus Professor and Senior Research Fellow, Department of English, University of Malta) and Prof. Gloria Lauri-Lucente (Director, Institute of Anglo-Italian Studies and Head, Department of Italian), University of Malta).
JAIS is published annually (normally in Spring) as a general issue. Special-issue themed numbers may be published from time to time. Discover the journal collection here.
