Overview

This workshop introduces academics to the new policy on Official Reading Lists and how Leganto, the University’s Resource List Management System, can support teaching and learning.

Leganto connects directly with UM Library Services and links to the Library’s Discovery Portal, HyDi, and other supported platforms. It provides students with seamless access to required and recommended resources - such as books, ebooks, chapters, journal articles, streaming media, and websites - while helping academics create, update, and share structured reading lists.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the workshop, participants will

  • compile and manage Official Reading Lists in Leganto, using a variety of legally accessible sources.
  • maintain reading lists that are accurate, clearly structured, and regularly updated to align with programme outcomes.
  • collaborate effectively with Library staff and academic colleagues in the creation, curation, and continuous improvement of reading lists.

Note:

  • Participants are asked to bring their laptops to the workshop.
  • Participants should have basic knowledge of of UM Library platforms (e.g., HyDi).
