Ms. Amanda Borg is a part-time lecturer in Introductory Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Her main field of research is social investment, specializing in the field of education, labour market, pensions and health policy.
Ms. Borg graduated Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics in 2004 and obtained a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Malta in 2006. Between 2004 and 2010, she was employed in the public sector and served as Commission Officer at the National Commission for Higher Education and as Research Officer at the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development.
In 2010 Ms. Borg joined an economic consultancy firm in the private sector where she is involved in a number of local and international consultancy projects within her field of specialization. Between 2011 and 2013, she was engaged as an independent country expert representing Malta in the ASISP network, within the context of the Open Method of Coordination, on behalf of the European Commission.
Ms. Borg is the author of a number of reports and publications on the theme of social investment.
