Dr Joseph Bugeja is a Lecturer within the Department of EU and Comparative Law, Faculty of Laws, University of Malta. He was called to the bar in 2004. He also holds a Teacher’s warrant (1994).
Throughout his professional career, Dr Joseph Bugeja has occupied the position of Director, International Economic Relations at the Economic Policy Division within the Ministry of Finance from September 2004 to June 2012. He represented Malta as titulaire in the Trade Policy Committee (Council committee established by Article 207 of TFEU). He also occupied the position of Director (Land) from July 2012 to December 2014 and Commissioner of Land from December 2013 to 2014.
Dr Bugeja practices law both in an advisory capacity and pleads in court audiences at the Maltese Courts of Justice.
