Dr.Lawrence Farrugia holds the position of lecturer with the Department of Technology and Entrepreneurship Education. His doctoral research concerned the investigation of how human emotions mediate the influence of design decisions on key business metrics within the domain of manufacturing. His research interests range from design theory, the development and application of design methods, sustainability and human-centred design.
Dr.Lawrence Farrugia carries out research within the field of design science. His research mainly involves the adoption of design theory and application of design methods across multiple domains such as policy development, multiple criteria decision making and education.
Prior to joining the University of Malta as a resident academic, Dr. Lawrence Farrugia was employed by Academy 147 Ltd. an EASA approved Part-147 organisation. His main responsibility was the development of means intended to enhance learning in an aircraft maintenance training environment.
