Lisanne Bakker is a Research Support Officer for the TargetMI project at the University of Malta. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Groningen.
Her interest lies in research that directly benefits human health. During her Master's and PhD research at the University Medical Center Groningen, she focused on healthy ageing and balance learning. She gained extensive experience coordinating data collection, recruiting participants, analyzing complex datasets, and supervising students. Throughout her research, she worked with a range of measurement techniques, including EEG, EMG, force plates, and accelerometers, and contributed to scientific publications and presentations at international conferences.
After a few years working internationally in the diving industry, Lisanne returned to academia to apply her research background, organizational skills, and curiosity to projects with real-world impact. At TargetMI, she works on the communication, dissemination, exploitation, organization, and portfolio tasks of the project. She uses her research background and organizational skills to keep daily operations running smoothly and to share the project's results with the wider public.
