Michael Briguglio is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Malta.

Briguglio coordinates the Masters degree in Social Impact Assessment at the University of Malta. He occupies the position of Associate Editor of the International Social Science Journal (Wiley).

Michael Briguglio is the Science Communication Coordinator of EU COST Action CA22122 Rethinking the Blue Economy: Socio-Ecological Impacts and Opportunities- (RethinkBlue). He is also a member of the Action's Core Group and represents Malta in its management committee.

He is a founding member of the Malta Sociological Association where he currently serves as Public Relations Officer.
