Michelle Cortis received a first degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) in 2013, a Master of Science in Engineering in 2014, and a Master’s Degree in Knowledge Based Entrepreneurship in 2018 from the University of Malta.
She previously worked at a local manufacturing company as a part-time Validation Engineer in 2014. Following this, she joined a National Authority (MCCAA) as an Engineer where she provided technical and scientific support to the Regulatory Affairs Directorate from 2014 to 2016.
Michelle joined the Knowledge Transfer Office at the University in 2016, where she currently supports Technology Transfer Processes, Intellectual Property evaluation and Industry-Academia collaboration. Her main areas of responsibility are Engineering and Biotechnology.
Michelle is an Executive Council member of the Chamber of Engineers (a voluntary organisation) and is also the Editor of the Chamber’s local technical magazine ‘Engineering Today’.
