Dr Borg graduated as Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Malta in 2002. He followed a post-graduate training course in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine and completed his specialization training in 2009 after having obtained the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. He furthered his studies in Clinical Ultrasound for Anaesthesiologists and Intensive Care Specialists at the University of Melbourne. His main areas of expertise are Intensive Care Medicine and the application of ultrasound technology for regional anesthesia. He has co-founded a series cadaveric workshops in regional anaesthesia in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy, UOM. He has served in various positions within the Association of Anesthesiologists of Malta and is currently the President of the National Society. Dr Borg has represented the speciality on the National Anaesthesiologists Societies Committee of the European Society of Anaesthesiologists. He has been invited to speak in various Anaesthesiology and ICM conferences including the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiology Congress and Euroanaesthesia Congress. He has worked in various hospitals in the UK and is currently a Consultant Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Mater Dei Hospital.
