Sam Agius graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics followed by a Masters in Medical Physics. He is currently pursuing doctoral research on the topic of strategic planning for Nuclear Medicine Departments in small island states.
Mr. Sam Agius is a Medical Physics Expert and Radiation Protection Expert in the area of Nuclear Medicine, with 9 years of clinical work experience, serving also as head of Nuclear Medicine Medical Physics at Mater Dei Hospital and Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre. His interests are patient-specific dosimetry and protocol optimisation. He is president of the Malta Association of Medical Physics and member and past secretary of the Professional Matters committee of the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics.
