ZEROCO2 is an interregional cooperation project for improving low-carbon economic policies. This project aims to implement near-zero CO2 emissions buildings due to energy use and improve regional energy policies with respect to environmental sustainability and mitigation of climate change risks.
The project has been granted an extension of one year under the Interreg Europe 5th Call Funding Programme, following the successful completion of the project in March 2020. The extension started in October 2021. During this extension, more attention will be given to the impact of COVID-19 on the decarbonisation of buildings and how this can be accelerated to achieve the EU targets for 2030 within the Energy Renovation Wave.
