New South Wales Higher School Certificate

Entry into undergraduate (Bachelor's degree) courses:

To be considered for admission and to satisfy the University’s General Entry Requirements you need to present the following qualifications:

a) the ATAR awarded with a percentage of 80% or higher; and

b) the New South Wales Higher School Certificate with an overall average grade of 4 or better, and good passes in a language other than English, a humanistic subject, and a science subject (preferably Mathematics) in the final year of studies. If not presented in the final year of studies, the language other than English and Mathematics may be considered from the penultimate year.

Entry into courses having Special Requirements:

Any applicable Special Course Requirements will be satisfied if you present final year passes at grade 4 or better in the subjects stipulated as Special Course Requirements, except for English Language. These requirements can be accessed in the respective course overview in the UM’s Course Finder.

Entry into capped courses, the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery course, and the Master of Dental Surgery course:

When applying for such courses, applicants would be required to fulfil the UM’s General Entry Requirements as per above, and separately present passes in the applicable Special Course Requirements from the Maltese examination board, MATSEC, or comparable examination boards, at the level and grade stipulated in the respective course regulations or bye-laws. These requirements can be accessed from the respective course overview in the UM’s Course Finder.

English language requirements:

Applicants are also required to fulfil the University's English Language Requirements by means of a valid Secure English Language Test. Access more information in this regard. Alternatively, a final year pass with a grade 4 or better in English in the New South Wales Higher School Certificate will be accepted in lieu of the Secure English Language Test.

Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training

Entry into undergraduate (Bachelor's degree) courses:

To be considered for admission and to satisfy the University’s General Entry Requirements you need to present the following qualifications:

a) the ATAR awarded with a percentage of 80% or higher; and

b) the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training awarded with an overall average grade of C or better, and good passes in a language other than English, a humanistic subject, and a science subject (preferably Mathematics) in the final year of studies. If not presented in the final year of studies, the language other than English and Mathematics may be considered from the penultimate year.

Queensland Certificate of Education

b) the Queensland Certificate of Education awarded with an overall average grade of SA (Sound Achievement) or better, and good passes in a language other than English, a humanistic subject, and a science subject (preferably Mathematics) in the final year of studies. If not presented in the final year of studies, the language other than English and Mathematics may be considered from the penultimate year.
