The shift to RGFM enables clarity by focusing on the financial management of complex research portfolios
Study in Australia for an exchange semester at the University of Canberra.
Studying at UM had always been a dream of mine. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I pursued a Master’s focused on hospital procurement efficiency, directly linked to my full-time job. While studying, I became a mother, balancing work, family and singing. Thanks to a strong support system, I’m already considering my next academic step.
At first, my degree felt like something I was deeply interested in, yet completely outside my comfort zone. But once I embraced the challenge, I learned so much, built wonderful friendships, and felt incredibly proud of what I achieved. My daughter was my greatest motivation throughout, an honour to have shared this journey with her.
The Masters in Cultural Heritage Management let me combine my passions for history and disability rights, inspiring a dissertation on autistic access at archaeological sites. University taught me independence and standing up for what I believe in, showing how the right support can foster both personal and academic growth.
