Project 1a: “A Comparative Discourse Analysis of Online Reactions to Articles on Environmental Issues in Maltese, French and German Media”
Funded by the Research Cluster DECC (Discourses of the Environment and Climate Change - Language, Culture and the Environmental Humanities) of the Faculty of Arts, University of Malta.
1. Applications are invited for a limited number of Research Support Officers (RSOs) or Research Support Assistants (RSAs) to carry out duties in relation to sub-project 1a entitled “A Comparative Discourse Analysis of Online Reactions to Articles on Environmental Issues in Maltese, French and German Media” under the Research Cluster DECC of the Faculty of Arts, University of Malta.
2. Applicants must be in possession of or reading for a first degree in a discipline related to the humanities or in an area of study related to the topic of the Research Cluster. Applicants must have knowledge of German and / or French linguistics and at least a C1 level of German and / or French language competence.
3. The selected candidate must be living in Malta for the period of employment.
4. The post is for a total of 630 hours over a period of three years as follows:
• Year 1 - Max of 198 hours
• Year 2 - Max of 216 hours
• Year 3 - Max of 216 hours
The successful candidate/s will be expected to start in September 2026 and the initial remuneration per hour (inclusive of any cost-of-living adjustments) shall be €9.02 (RSA) and €13.08 (RSO I).

Project 3a: “Investigating Learners' Ecolinguistic Competence and Ecological Awareness in the Foreign Language Classroom in Malta”

Applications are invited for a limited number of Research Support Officers (RSOs) or Research Support Assistants (RSAs) to carry out duties in relation to sub-project 3a entitled “Investigating Learners' Eco linguistic Competence and Ecological Awareness in the Foreign Language Classroom in Malta” under the Research Cluster DECC of the Faculty of Arts, University of Malta.
2. Applicants must be in possession of or reading for a first degree in a discipline related to the humanities or in an area of study related to the topic of the Research Cluster. Applicants must have a C1 level of competence in French and / or German and / or Italian and ideally have an educational background (theoretical and practical training in the teaching of foreign languages).
3. The selected candidate must be living in Malta for the period of employment.
