The Memorial Lecture

In his lecture, titled Honouring Edward de Bono: The Enduring Power of Creativity in the 21st Century, Prof. Puccio spoke about Dr. Edward de Bono as a visionary—a trailblazer who championed the power of creativity long before it became a recognized necessity in today’s fast-changing world. His ground-breaking work in applied creativity and creative thinking education laid the foundation for what we now see as an essential skill in the modern workplace.

In this lecture, Dr. Gerard Puccio explored the undeniable role of creativity in driving innovation and shaping the future of work. He examined how universities are evolving to meet the demands of the 21st century by equipping students with creative problem-solving skills, preparing them to navigate complexity and seize new opportunities.

Through compelling case studies, real-world applications, and insights into the benefits of creativity education, this presentation will shed light on what makes creativity training effective.

Finally, in an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, Dr. Puccio will address a critical question: How does creativity remain a uniquely human advantage? Join us for this thought-provoking discussion on the future of creativity and its lasting impact on education, business, and society.
