In April 2015, The Edward de Bono Institute hosted the following activities to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW).
As a build-up to WCIW, students enrolled on the Institute’s Master in Creativity and Innovation shot brief videos highlighting the requirements for creative thinking from their perspective, and uploaded them onto various social media including the Institute’s Facebook page.
The activities then kicked off with a number of lessons on creative thinking for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Birzebbuga Primary School within St Benedict College, and for Year 5 pupils at St Edward’s college. The ideas generated by the pupils were exhibited in a collage at their respective schools.
Later in the week, a group of employees of the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) attended an interactive workshop on creative thinking, where they practiced tools and techniques that can foster creative effort.
The events organised during WCIW were coordinated by Dr Margaret Mangion and were the result of collaboration with other entities including St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, MITA and Birzebbuga Primary School.
