Post/s of Part-Time Research Support Officer II
Department of Health, Physical Education & Consumer Studies
- The Department of Health, Physical Education & Consumer Studies requires the services of a Research Support Officer II for assistance with a research study Parents’ and Teachers’ Views on Enhancing Students’ Dietary and Sleep Habits in Malta.
- The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in Education or a related area, and experience in research studies related to health, well-being, and/or social issues in education.
- This post will be for a period from 25 May 2026 until 31 December 2026 and will be expected to work a total maximum of 84 hours. The Research Support Officer II will be remunerated at the rate of €14.58 per hour.
- The selected candidate must be living in Malta for the period of employment.

Further Information
- The following is a list of tasks that the appointee may be required to:
- Organisation of interviews for data collection;
- Transcription of interviews;
- Contributing to data analysis and report writing;
- Assistance with literature review;
- Assistance with the organisation of project documentation;
- Other research duties related to the project.
- The appointee is expected to work:
- on a part-time basis and
- at such places and during such hours as may be determined by the University authorities.
- The selection procedure will involve:
- scrutiny of qualifications and experience claimed and supported by testimonials and/or certificates (copies to be included with the application);
- short-listing; and
- an interview and/or extended interview.
- The appointment will be subject to a probationary period, and to the provisions of the Statutes, Regulations and Bye-Laws of the University which are now or which may hereafter be in force.
