Applications are invited for the full-time post of Childcare Educator at the Child Educare Services of the University of Malta.

Salary Details
The annual salary for 2026 is €20,351, with annual increments of €330, up to a maximum of €22,661. Upon the completion of four years of service in this grade, the appointee will be eligible to advance to the next salary band, which includes annual increments of €355, up to a maximum of €24,218. After an additional three years, the appointee will be entitled to progress to the next band, featuring annual increments of €380, up to a maximum of €25,831. Following a further three-year period, the appointee will be qualified to move to the next band, with annual increments of €400, up to a maximum of €27,373. All salary progressions are subject to satisfactory performance.
Employees will also benefit from a health insurance.

Further Information
The University Child Educare Services provide a pre-school educational programme to children aged up to three years old at its centres: ‘It-Tajra’ on campus and ‘Ilwien’ at the Junior College and during the summer months at ‘Kids on Campus’ Summer School.
The appointee will work closely with all members of the Childcare team: Childcare Managers, and Attendants, to ensure the smooth running of the different Childcare Services.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they can work successfully within a small team of highly committed individuals. Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as flexibility are essential for the effective discharge of the duties attached to the post.
The role of the Childcare Educator is mainly that of providing a holistic early year’s education to children entrusted to their care with special attention to the following:
