A digital certificate with a 3-year validity will be issued to participants who successfully complete
the training session. The certificate will be issued on the Blockcert system. The participants will be

By the end of the course, participants will:

• explain the chemistry of fire and the factors that influence its spread;
• identify fire classes and appropriate extinguishing methods for each;
• recognise fire safety measures in the workplace, including alarms, smoke doors, and fixed
  installations;
• demonstrate safe evacuation techniques, including accounting for personnel during an
  emergency;
• operate firefighting equipment, such as fire blankets and extinguishers, with confidence
  and accuracy.

Successful candidates receive a St John Ambulance & Rescue digital certificate, valid for three
years. This international certificate is recognised by the local Occupational Health & Safety
Regulations. The certificate will be issued on the Blockcert system. The participants will be also be
able to download the certificates in PDF format and print these.

providers, playgroup leaders, childminders, and school staff, this course focuses exclusively on
paediatric first aid protocols and prepares participants to handle a wide range of emergencies
effectively.

The course covers the following key topics:

• The role of a first aider and effective communication in emergencies.
• Managing choking, resuscitation (CPR), and defibrillator use for children and infants.
• Identifying and treating injuries such as bleeding, burns, bone fractures, and spinal
  injuries.
• Responding to medical emergencies, including allergic reactions, seizures, asthma, and
  meningitis.
• Addressing shock, poisoning, bites, stings, and extreme temperature conditions.

Handling unresponsive casualties and ensuring workplace health and safety compliance.The Paediatric First Aid course is assessed through a written multiple-choice test and a practical
