Basic Radiation Safety Awareness

This training session is designed for all staff who work with, or may be exposed to, ionising radiation. This training is part of the UM Radiation Protection Programmes and is mandatory according to Cap. 585 of the Laws of Malta. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for five (5) years.

Effective management of laboratory assets is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. The
equipment asset inventory in AIMS is an essential tool designed to streamline this process. This
session will equip participants with the skills to efficiently manage their department’s assets and
ensure that the inventory is accurately updated in real time, following Standard Operating
Procedure ZRH-003.
This session is primarily intended for new users of this AIMS module, as well as recently appointed
Responsible Persons (RPs) and Maintenance System Leaders (MSLs). It also serves as an excellent
refresher for experienced RPs and MSLs who want to reinforce their knowledge or resolve any
specific questions they have about the system. Additionally, any staff members seeking access to
their department's equipment asset database are highly encouraged to participate.
