Time & Stress Management
Trainer: Dr Mary Joan Camilleri, Head of Counselling Services
Target Audience: All members of staff
Workshop Duration: 3 hours
Delivery Mode: Class-based
This workshop is developed for staff at all levels with the main objective to explore the psychology of stress and burnout prevention. In an increasingly demanding work environment, promoting personal and professional wellbeing is essential for long-term effectiveness. This session provides a safe and supportive learning environment where participants can move beyond theory into functional practice.
The workshop is designed to be highly interactive, organised around small focus groups. Participants will have the opportunity to brainstorm and share ideas with peers, identifying their own learning gaps and training needs. By reframing our understanding of stress and time management, the session empowers staff to protect their psycho-emotional health while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
Define health and wellbeing within a professional and personal context;
Appreciate the necessity of protecting one’s own psycho-emotional wellbeing;
Recognize the symptoms of vicarious trauma and early signs of burnout;
Gain an alternative view of stress, learning how to utilize it in a positive and productive way;
Learn how to create SMART goals to improve individual and team effectiveness;
Understand the relationship between effective time management and achieving a healthy work-life balance.
