The Islands and Small States Institute will be hosting the 'Islands of the World' Conference of June 2028 in Gozo, in collaboration with International Small Islands Studies Association (ISISA).

This conference is more than an academic gathering; it is an opportunity to foster solidarity and collaboration among island communities around the world. By sharing innovative policies and community-based development models, we aim to build resilient and inclusive island futures.

ISISA connects scholars and practitioners interested in island matters through international communication, such as newsletters, journals and periodic conferences. ISISA is independent, non–profit and educational. (ISISA Charter 2010).
