Call for Papers – First Issue 2027 Temptation

Temptation is among the most enduring and complex dimensions of human experience. It lies at the intersection of freedom, desire, morality, vulnerability, imagination, and transcendence. In the Christian tradition, temptation is not merely associated with moral failure, but also with discernment, spiritual struggle, growth in virtue, and the search for authenticity. Contemporary societies likewise confront new forms of temptation linked to technology, power, consumerism, identity, sexuality, political influence, and digital culture.

The first issue of Melita Theologica for 2027 invites scholars to explore the theme “Temptation” from interdisciplinary and theological perspectives.
