Anthea Agius Anastasi carried out her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malta where she was awarded a degree in Mechanical Engineering with first class honours and the Dean's Award in 2014. She thereafter started her doctoral research on "Nanoindentation of Graphene Membranes using Atomic Force Microscopy and Molecular Dynamics Simulations" with the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, University of Malta.
In 2015, during her ongoing postgraduate research, Anthea was employed as a Casual Support Engineer within the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and was then appointed as an Assistant Lecturer in 2016. In 2021, Anthea was awarded the PhD degree and promoted to Lecturer.
