Dr Belinda Gambin is a senior lecturer with the Division of Environmental Management and Planning within the Institute of Earth Systems. She received her Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Aix-Marseille University (France). Her study focused on environmental reconstruction in Malta over the past 7300 years. Her MSc is in Sustainable Development from Exeter University (UK) and her BSc (Hons) is in Human Geography and Environmental Biology from Oxford Brookes University (UK). Additionally she completed the associate level (IEMA) course in Environmental Management at the University of Bath (UK). Between 2015 and 2022 she was the course coordinator for the BSc (Hons) in Earth Systems. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked within the local private sector with a GIS company. Her main interests are Palaeopalynology, Aerobiology and Melissopalynology.

Dr. Gambin currently holds Practitioner Membership status with the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (UK). She also holds membership with: the Association for Environmental Archaeology, UK; AASP- the Palynological Society, USA; the International Association for Aerobiology and the European Aerobiology Society.
