The Research Support Services Directorate (RSSD) provides centralised support to the University of Malta’s research community, assisting researchers from securing funding through to effective laboratory management.

RSSD delivers core services that are common across all Faculties, Institutes, Centres, and Schools. These include support for access to external research funding, management of internal funding mechanisms, proposal review, and efficient laboratory management.

The Directorate operates through two closely collaborating branches: the Funding Support Team, composed of Research Project Managers, and the Laboratory Support Team, composed of Laboratory Managers.
