This call is part of a Joint Programming Initiative for healthy and productive seas and Oceans (JPI Oceans) and the national contact point is Xjenza Malta (XM).
The focus is on Blue Carbon Ecosystems and the call aims to bridge critical knowledge gaps in the understanding and management of these systems. Successful projects will advance scientific insights into carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes, providing the evidence needed to shape effective marine policy and management responses.
Funding: Maltese-based entities are eligible to apply for funds up to EUR 150,000 per project to join international consortia. Funding is designed to support participation in high-impact projects addressing one or more of the following priority areas:
