The University of Malta has launched the Conferences and Events Policy, with a set of procedures for events that are branded UM.

These policy guidelines are intended for events such as seminars, conferences, public lectures, exhibitions and such events, that use the branding of the University of Malta with the exclusion of those which are course study-unit related. As cited in article 1.2, 'All events identified as pertaining to a University activity are to be organised within the framework of this policy'. All academic/administrative/technical staff are to follow the guidelines and abide by this policy when organising such events.
