Nutritional Advice

Eating healthy, nutritious food is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle and supports you in every part of your life, be it learning, work, or rest and leisure.

Combined with physical activity, a healthy diet can help reach and maintain a healthy weight whilst promoting overall health. Aware that changing old, instilled habits is difficult, the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate is offering the services of a Registered Nutritionist to help plan and make the healthy changes you set out to achieve and to reach your goal. It can take some time before changes become new, healthy habits, but if adhered to, they can become part of the daily routine.

Through one-on-one nutritional advice, the Nutritionist will offer information about food portion sizes, healthier food choices, how to read food labels, how to calculate the BMI and how to lose or maintain an ideal weight. The Nutritionist will also be available to answer any queries that the service users might have.

Services will be offered on a weekly basis.
