The Master of Arts (Area of Study: Youth Justice) entails a two-year specialist programme of studies (30 ECTS taught; 60 ECTS dissertation) focusing on the multi-faceted aetiology and prevention of youth crime and delinquency. It is primarily intended for current or prospective youth justice practitioners seeking to broaden their knowledge on this engaging field and those interested in furthering their understanding of the area. The course’s research component (dissertation) is aimed at sharpening students’ research skills on a related topic of inquiry that contributes to the growing knowledge base in the area, and which may serve as the requisite empirical platform for policy and service development.
