The language of instruction at UM is English. If you have completed your secondary education overseas you are obliged to satisfy UM’s English language requirement by presenting a Secure English Language Test (SELT) result.

With ISET, the grades obtained will be valid if issued within 2 years from the date of the commencement of the course.

The bands vary from 1 to 7, with 1 being the lowest score and 7 the highest.

Different levels of courses require different scores as below:
