Write-off

Staff can apply to write-off items which are obsolete, broken or of no more use at the place of work.

For IT equipment you require an IT write-off certification issued by IT Services prior to logging your request. The certificate should include the following details:

  • inventory number/FA Code where applicable
  • date of purchase
  • reason for write-off.

After the request for write-off is received, the request will be processed through the Write-off Committee. You will then receive a notification with details for the disposal of the item/s.
