About us

The link between diet, food and overall health is a very topical subject, and one that is well- evidenced.  Our department provides teaching and research programmes in the areas of food, food sciences and technology, human nutrition and dietetics.  The various courses provided offer a different slant and training in different fields within the area of food, diet and health.  This is achieved through a complement of resident as well as visiting or casual academics with varying expertise in related subject areas. 

 

Our graduates have a vast range of job opportunities available in the food industry, community, clinical or public sectors, amongst others, depending on their qualification of choice.  Ultimately all our graduates are trained to develop competences and skills to work in the areas of food and health.
