Every tutor who teaches a particular class has their own individual class area in the JC VLE.
For example, if 8 different tutors are involved in teaching Advanced English Year 1 Group 1A (including seminars and tutorials), the JC VLE has 8 separate areas - one for each tutor.
The naming convention for the JC VLE class tutor areas is as follows:
[Advanced/Intermediate] [Subject] [Yr1/2] [Group] - [Tutor's name] [Scholastic year]

Note that the class tutor areas include all the students of that particular class, even if a particular tutor teaches only a subset of the students (for example in a seminar or tutorial). If a tutor wants to restrict some or all of their learning resources to a specific group of students only, they will need to create a group within the VLE area and restrict the learning resources to this group:
If tutors would like to work together in the same class area, they can contact us to manually grant them access to the required VLE area/s.
Every subject taught at Junior College has a dedicated VLE coordinator area, designed to help coordinators easily share important information and updates with all the students enrolled in the subject and the tutors who teach it. Coordinators can send notifications to all students or target specific groups, e.g., Advanced Yr1 students. Students can also contact their coordinators with subject-related queries via the Question & Answer Forum.
Similar to class areas, these areas are initially hidden from students and are made available at the coordinator's discretion.
