JC VLE structure

JC VLE structure

Starting from scholastic year 2020/21, every tutor who teaches a particular class will have their own individual class area in the JC VLE.

For example, if 8 different tutors are involved in teaching Advanced English Year 1 Group 1A (including seminars and tutorials), the JC VLE will now include 8 separate areas - one for each tutor.

The naming convention for the JC VLE class tutor areas will be as follows:

[Advanced/Intermediate] [Subject] [Yr1/2] [Group] - [Tutor's name] [Scholastic year]

Example:

  • Advanced English Yr1 1A - Joseph Borg (2223)
  • Intermediate Pure Maths Yr2 6B - Mary Abela (2223)

Note that the class tutor areas will include all the students of that particular class, even if a particular tutor teaches only a subset of the students (for example in a seminar or tutorial). If a tutor wants to restrict some or all of their learning resources with a specific group of students only, they will need to create a Group within the VLE area and restrict the learning resources to this group:

If tutors would like to work together in the same class area, they can contact us to manually grant them access to the required VLE area/s.
