Science opens up various career opportunities that are not necessarily linked to traditional professions.

On Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November 2025, the University of Malta (UM) is inviting 11/12-year-old students (Year 8), together with educators and guidance teachers, to explore various unconventional careers in science.

The University of Malta will open its areas and laboratories, dedicated to the Built Environment, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, ICT, Media & Knowledge Sciences, Medicine & Surgery, Science, Earth Systems and Space Sciences & Astronomy to students and educators.

Join us and engage with UM researchers and University students in exciting, fun and interesting activities on these special days.

STEAM Education

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. STEAM takes a holistic approach, encouraging the next generation of innovators and researchers to tackle real-world problems creatively while considering their impact on humanity.
