Dr Gianpaolo Tomaselli is a Lecturer within the Department of Health Systems Management and Leadership at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Malta. In parallel with his academic role, he holds a managerial role within Malta’s public health sector, integrating professional practice in healthcare management with research and teaching.
He obtained a Bachelor in Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration before completing a Ph.D. in Economics and Management in Health Care at the Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, Italy. His research focuses on health systems management and leadership, corporate social responsibility in healthcare, stakeholder health and wellbeing, sustainability in health systems, amongst other topics.
Dr Tomaselli has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals, conference proceedings, policy reports and edited volumes. Furthermore, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Socially Responsible and Sustainable Healthcare (IJSRSH) published by IGI Global. He has edited and coordinated several scholarly books focusing on healthcare management, sustainability in health systems and corporate social responsibility in healthcare. In addition, he has served as guest editor and special issue coordinator for journals published by MDPI and Frontiers Public Health.
Dr Tomaselli also participated in international research networks and consortia, including Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, COST Actions, the European Regional Development Fund, and the *European Social Fund.
