The Chapel is located close to the old university entrance and offers a quiet place to pray or reflect in. Many students and staff members pop by for a quiet moment during their busy day. While there, you can ask for advice about how to pray or get updated with the latest information from the Chaplaincy team. Feel free to visit us in the office adjacent to the Chapel should you need anything.
The Chaplaincy office is where we, as the Chaplaincy team, work from. If you are passing by the Chaplaincy feel free to pop in to say hello or to ask for assistance with whatever you may need. You will find someone here to welcome you from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. During the summer we are open from 7:00 am till 1:30 pm.
The Chaplaincy has a kitchen which is used to prepare free lunches for students every Wednesday at 1pm (unless advised). It is also available for use throughout the week, so feel free warm your food, bring some friends over to cook a meal or simply have coffee whenever you like. There are often snacks or other goodies brought over to share among students.
At the Chaplaincy, there are some rooms available for you to study, hang out, or have meetings in. The Jesuit house next door, DMM - Dar Manuel Magri, also has many more rooms and lots of space to offer, as well as a projector that can be used for meetings. Students can use the rooms at any point throughout our opening ours, however, should you wish to book a room, you may also do so by contacting the Chaplaincy at: chaplaincy@um.edu.mt
Should you need a place to leave your bags, the Chaplaincy has a room where you can leave them at your convenience. The room is available between 7am and 8pm. During the summer we will be open till 1:30 pm.
One of the services Chaplaincy offers is to provide food to those students and members of staff who may be struggling to make ends meet. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need food to help you get by. We will be more than happy to share what we have with you.
The Chaplaincy is a point of contact through which students can start the process of making use of the Student Solidarity Fund of the University of Malta. This fund provides interim financial support to students experiencing hardship, helping them remain enrolled until they regain stability or access state assistance. Obtain further information about the fund.
