Throughout the year our Institute promotes its work in the media. At the cutting edge of research our staff is approached for insight be journalists for their expertise in the area and we try to engage the broader audience with the impact of our research and our articles are published in international and national newspapers and our staff members participate in television interviews.

Our members of staff participate in national events such as Science in the City, the Malta Global Game Jam, Research Expo and the Playcon. During these events, Institute of Digital Games presents interactive exhibitions to engage the general public in our research: our researchers exhibit equipment housed within our laboratories and explain the scope of our research work.
While we're based on a small island in the Mediterranean, that doesn't mean we're not connected to the world. The institute is a a hub for academics, industry professionals, researchers and PhD students who visit frequently to spend considerable time in Malta collaborating with members of the Institute.
