The M.Ed. Board of Studies is responsible for the administration and organisation of the Master of Education degree.

It is responsible for:

1. the programme of study 
2. following and supporting students throughout their studies and:
   • receives research proposals for dissertations and makes recommendations for acceptance/changes/rejection as required
   • recommends appointment of supervisors and advisors
   • receives and acts upon progress reports submitted by supervisors
   • considers changes to the original dissertation proposal
   • makes recommendations for the appointment of internal and external examiners for the examination of dissertations
   • receives examiners’ individual reports and final reports following the viva voce examination
   • compiles the results and classifies the degree to be awarded.
