Why choose the University of Malta

Visiting students are classified as follows:

Exchange students:
Applicants in this category are registered students of a University with which the University of Malta has a formal agreement. Exchange students would need to have prior recommendation by their home University indicating that the student is allowed to register for study-units at the University of Malta, and that these can be transferred to their respective course abroad. On publication of the results, an official transcript is sent to the exchange student's home University.

Visiting students:
This means that there is no formal agreement between the University of Malta and the student’s home university or that the student can not come to the University of Malta on an exchange basis because there is no vacancy available. The student can register for study-units at the University of Malta on a tuition fee basis, for a period of one semester or one full academic year.  This applicant has to be a registered student of another University. Visiting students may order an official transcript from this website at the end of their stay. When applying for the transcript students are to indicate that they would need all their semester/year results to be published before the transcript is issued.
