IT Service Desk

The IT Service Desk is the primary point of contact for UM staff and students to report IT-related issues and to seek further information about our services.

IT Services uses UniDesk to manage IT requests and fault reports.

Finding help 

University members may find help on common issues in the Knowledge Base section of the UniDesk Self-Service Portal.

How to contact the IT Service Desk

A. Self-Service Portal (UM members) or IT Services Enquiry Form (Non-UM members)


University members Non-University members

University members: Self-Service Portal (requires UM IT Account)

If you have a UM IT Account, please use the UniDesk Self-Service Portal to:

  1. view self-help resources in the Knowledge Base to find solutions for common issues
  2. submit an IT support request
  3. track the progress of your request/s
  4. modify and update information in previously logged request/s
  5. give feedback on how your request was handled. 


Non-University members: IT Services Enquiry Form

If you cannot access the Self-Service Portal, you can submit a request through the enquiry form. This enquiry form should be used for IT support requests only.


Using any of the above options will create a ticket in UniDesk and you will receive an automated email with a unique ticket number for your IT support request.


B. Call the IT Service Desk

Call one of our IT Service Desks:

  • Mainsite IT Services: +356 2340 4112 (press '1' for helpdesk, '2' for AV support in lecture rooms)
  • Mater Dei Hospital: +356 2340 1112
  • Junior College: +356 2590 7112
  • VLE/Web CMS: +356 2340 4113 

The IT Service Desks operate during these hours.

IT Services offers remote assistance with the aid of a remote support tool. This will enable us to connect directly to your computer and provide real-time support. You will be required to download the TeamViewer client for such support.

Download TeamViewer for Windows or Mac.


C. Visit the IT Service Desk

Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, face-to-face help is only available by appointment when remote support is not enough. Please contact us using the above channels.
